I am a Melbourne Jewellery maker. I use my own handcrafted lamp work glass beads to create vibrant colour and individuality to all of my pieces of jewellery.
Each piece is unique, elegant and fashionable. The glass beads are made from imported Italian glass. The colour may be the same but no two beads are identical. I use sterling silver for all findings and clasps, and all chains. I hope each piece gives you as much enjoyment as I have had in making it.

Glass beads began to appear around 4000 years ago, they were considered as valuable as precious stones, worn primarily by nobility and also used as currency.
The secret of bead making was guarded with great ferocity.
The cold glass rod is introduced slowly into the flame, or it will shatter. Once warm it is heated until it becomes molten, this is when designs and different colours of glass are added. The magic of the glass is not revealed until the glass is removed from the kiln and the patience of the Artist is rewarded
